Chongqing - On April 12th, the inaugural National Dazu District Entrepreneurs Conference was convened in Chongqing's Dazu District. The conference unveiled a comprehensive investment opportunity list in Dazu District, spanning manufacturing, cultural tourism, urban development, agriculture, and more. This initiative encompasses 74 projects, with a total investment volume reaching 62.27 billion yuan ($8.6 billion).

Dazu District plans to invest over 100 billion yuan in the next three years in developing industrial parks, scenic spots, and urban areas. Leveraging the occasion of the inaugural National Dazu District Entrepreneurs Conference, 74 projects were planned, inviting entrepreneurs from across the nation to participate in the homeland's development.

Dazu District highlighted key parks in the manufacturing sector, such as Shuangqiao Park, Youting Park, Wangu Park, Longshui Park, and Sanqu Park, detailing their attraction directions and basic supporting facilities.

Of note is the 800 million yuan investment in the new energy special vehicle industry in Shuangqiao Park. Presently, the park can annually refit 60,000 various types of special vehicles, catering to enterprises like Chang'an, Seres, Great Wall, and Geely. 

Planned future projects include intelligent driving, vehicle bodies, electric drive bridges, high-voltage electronic controls, automotive electronic control devices, engine control, vehicle body electronic control, chassis electronic control systems, new energy batteries and components, and hydrogen vehicle component research and production.

In the cultural tourism sector, attractions like the Dazu Rock Carvings Baoding Mountain Scenic Area, Longshui Lake Tourism Resort, and rural tourism development have announced their attraction demands. For instance, the investment in the North and South Song Street commercial operation project of the Dazu Rock Carvings Baoding Mountain Scenic Area amounts to 50 million yuan.

This project aims to renovate and operate street properties covering an area of 18,000 square meters, with an estimated operational income exceeding 1.1 billion yuan over 20 years.

A batch of infrastructure construction, real estate development, and functional supporting construction projects were unveiled in urban development and construction.

Notably, the investment in the commercial construction and operation project of the Dazu Rock Carvings Station is set at 1.075 billion yuan. Located in Baoding Town, the project will be developed around the Dazu Rock Carvings Station of the Chengdu-Chongqing Intercity Railway. Positioned at the intersection of the urban and scenic areas, it is expected to become the region with the highest human flow in Dazu, boasting high commercial value. The construction period is set at five years.

Xu Xiaoyong, Deputy Secretary of the Dazu District Committee and District Mayor said that in the future, every effort would be made to provide services for entrepreneurs, especially in policy support. 

Dazu has integrated multiple preferential policies at the national, municipal, and district levels, providing full support and guarantees regarding resource elements and innovative development. 

Measures such as levying corporate income tax at a reduced rate of 15% and providing special funds support to enterprises meeting economic contribution requirements based on the proportion of value-added tax and corporate income tax payments have been implemented. 

Additionally, Dazu has formulated a trial method for managing investment attraction projects, providing services throughout the entire process from project planning to production. The Dazu District Federation of Industry and Commerce also plans to establish a service center for entrepreneurs to provide dedicated services to overseas entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, the Chongqing Municipal People's Government's Office in Guangdong and the Dazu District People's Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement. 

Nine projects were signed on-site, covering industries such as new materials, energy, automotive and motorcycle, cultural creativity, and hardware, with a total contract value of 9.31 billion yuan.
