On April 19, the "New Chongqing - Citizen Image Project" activity was held in Chongqing's Jiulongpo District. More than 30 Chongqing urban photographers, photography enthusiasts, international friends, Internet celebrities, and media representatives visited Jiulongpo District to experience and record its unique landscape and culture.

The project aims to showcase Chongqing's image, spread Chinese culture, and promote people-to-people exchanges through the collection, creation, and international dissemination of urban photography and short video works. 

It focuses on promoting social coordination, public participation, and Internet communication and showcasing to the outside new Chongqing's image of opening up as a land-sea city, urban image as a living city, green image as a city of mountains and rivers, and colorful image as a cultural city with images as the medium. 

Series of photography and short video works created during the activity will be presented on municipal media, Internet platforms, and overseas media platforms, as well as at the New Chongqing 2024 · Citizen Image Project exhibition.

During the activity, the image collection team went to Jiulong Agilawood Museum, Chongqing Jiaotong Teahouse, Huangjueping Graffiti Art Street, Junge Book House, the Former Residence of Zhou Gongzhi, and Yingxiongwan Rural Research Camp in Tongguanyi Town, Yingxiongwan Rural Revitalization College, and Agricultural Park for image collection and narration. 

They recorded and showcased excellent traditional Chinese culture and rural revitalization scenery of Jiulongpo with their cameras, engaging in multidimensional dissemination through media and We media.

Along the way, the team took photos while walking and recommended the route of Jiulongpo Citywalk through images. They also tasted local delicacies and experienced intangible cultural heritage projects.

At Jiulong Agilawood Museum, they learned about the traditional techniques of incense blending in Jiulongpo and experienced and recorded the appreciation of Jiulong agilawood, a traditional incense culture. Gathered together, they cleansed their hands, sat down, brewed tea, tasted and smelled, and exchanged conversations. Foreign friends even tried their hands at making incense stamps.

 "As a photographer, I find that many things can be photographed in Jiulongpo, such as the exquisite sculptures within the Jiulong Agilawood Museum and the feeling of history deposition. Once inside, my camera shutter rarely rested. Apart from promoting Jiulongpo's beauty and culture on the New Chongqing · Citizen Image Project platform, I also have a decent following on my personal We-media platform. I will post these works to my followers and encourage my friends to experience it for themselves."

Abdelilah Nait Nadir, an international student from Morocco from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, said that in Jiulongpo, the artistic beauty of Huangjueping graffiti art street and various delicacies he tasted on that day made him feel the authentic Chinese culture.
